On a fact finding trip with Mette Samkalden, in preparation of an Art & Sustainability project involving artists from Holland and artists from Indonesia. We flew from Labuan Bajo to Ende and continued by car. First stop was at Onelako weaving group. The colours and motives of Ende are totally different again. Warm reds, yellows and blacks. The lady of the house and her husband are both teachers and they explained a lot about Onelako Ikat motives with horses and elephants and other symbols.
